VUWA KAUNDA DENIES DEFECTION TO MCP

Nkhata Bay Central Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Vuwa Kaunda has denied allegations that he is planning to defect to the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).

Kaunda made the denial in response to claims by Lyton Changa Kaunda, another MP, who alleged that Vuwa Kaunda was planning to help DPP members win the upcoming parliamentary by-elections.

"I want to assure my constituents that I remain committed to the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and will continue to serve the people of Nkhata Bay with dedication and integrity," Vuwa Kaunda said.

The allegations come amid speculation about Vuwa Kaunda's future political plans, but he has reassured his supporters that he has no intention of leaving the DPP.

Vuwa Kaunda has been an MP for 25 years and has contributed significantly to the development of Nkhata Bay District.
